Active Adults
The Adult Community Center, fondly known as the “ACC,” serves as a central hub for the older adults in our community. We offer a wide variety of programs and services to enhance the lives of our aging adults. Programs include recreational activities, health and wellness classes, trips and tours, special events, and daily meals.

ACC Curbside Lunch Program
The ACC offers meals four days a week, Tuesday through Friday, prepared by Chef Brenda Sullivan. Meals are $5 each and are ready onsite for curbside pick-up or home delivery (available for homebound residents of San Carlos). Curbside pick-up is from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. The Curbside Lunch Program is funded in part by a grant from the Sequoia Healthcare District.

All are welcome at the ACC! We have no membership fee or resident requirements.
The best way to see what we’re all about is to visit us in person! Meet our staff, get to know your neighbors, and enjoy our numerous activities and services. Membership registration forms can be completed online or in person at the ACC.

The ACC offers classes, programs, and activities to fit all interests. We design programs around six dimensions of wellness: Physical, Spiritual, Intellectual, Social, Vocational, and Emotional.

Day Trips and Extended Tours
The ACC offers a wide range of trips to local destinations for adults! Roundtrip transportation for Day Trips from the ACC will be provided on a commercial motor coach. These trips let you travel with ease so that all you have to do is sit back and enjoy!
The ACC offers tour vacations, both nationally and internationally, with Collette Vacations. All flights for travel depart from San Francisco International Airport. The trips are all-inclusive, including travel insurance. Some special excursions are not included in the price of the trip.

ACC Fitness Room
Overview
Our fitness room is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. It features a NuStep, recumbent bike, pulley weight system, rowing machine, free weights, stability balls and medicine balls. To register:
1. Complete the Fitness Room Membership Packet (doctor waiver required)
2. Make an appointment for an orientation by contacting George Holland at (650) 802-4115
3. Pay the membership fee of $100 per year for those 18-61 years of age, or $50 per year for residents ages 62 and older

Caring Cupboard Program
Caring Cupboard is a free and confidential food support program for residents, run by San Carlos Service Club for Seniors in partnership with the ACC. Groceries are provided every Tuesday. Caring Cupboard is open to all San Carlos residents who meet the eligibility requirements.

How to Help
Volunteers are needed to help pack and deliver groceries every Tuesday. Donations of paper bags, canned food, boxed food, or packages that are nonperishable and in factory-sealed condition are welcome to be dropped off at the Adult Community Center (601 Chestnut Street).
