The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of volunteer middle school and high school students appointed by the City Council. The YAC’s role is to advise the Parks & Recreation Department and the Youth Center staff on activities, events, and programs to meet the needs of our students. The YAC strengthens the image of community for our young people in San Carlos.

NEW! Payment Plan Option
All of our summer camps now have the option of a payment plan. We know paying for a whole summer full of fun up front can be a challenge, so we are now giving families the option to break up the payments to ease that financial burden when registering. Here is how it works:
- 50% due at the time of registration.
- Remaining 50% is due in two split payments.
- Camps must be paid in full prior to the start date.
Recreation Fee Assistance Program
A Fee Assistance Program, funded in partnership with the Parks and Recreation Foundation of San Carlos, is available to help San Carlos residents participate in San Carlos Parks & Recreation summer camps and classes. Fee assistance is available to qualifying San Carlos residents and students enrolled in a San Carlos-based school.
