Project Description
This project includes demolition of the existing structure and construction of a new two-story fire station along with utility and pedestrian safety improvements.
Project Area
Fire Station 16 located at 1280 Alameda de las Pulgas.
Project Duration
Three-week look ahead:

Working Hours: Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Public Impact
During this project, please expect traffic impacts as there will be occasional lane closures on both Alameda de las Pulgas and Howard Avenue for delivery of construction materials and equipment. During these times, you may be directed by a flag person to wait for short periods of time while traffic is impaired. Please understand that these precautions are for your safety and the safety of work crews. Please use caution while equipment and crews are present in the street. During the work within the roadway and intersection, Alameda de las Pulgas will have extended lane closures.
Every effort will be made to ensure that access to your homes and driveways will be maintained during the project, but please expect additional vehicle traffic in the area during construction.
Residents may also hear construction noise during the project work hours, which can’t be prevented due to the type of construction.
Those properties that abut the fire station property will require some excavation, but every precaution will be taken to protect the back fences.
